Bus Tours
Big Muddy Tours does not operate bus tours directly, but we proudly partner with experienced tour companies to help visitors experience the beauty of the Big Muddy Valley.
If you’re looking to join a scheduled bus tour, please contact Engelheim, Women on the Go, Paradigm, or SouthSask Bus Lines for upcoming trips to the area.
If you’re interested in organizing your own group tour, you will need to arrange your own bus and driver. Once booked, we’re happy to work with you to create a memorable Big Muddy experience—just send us an email for details on chartered tour options.
2026 Bus Tour Highlights
Partner tours in the 2026 season are expected to include stops at:
Your adventure will begin at Castle Butte, one of Saskatchewan’s most famous natural landmarks. This relic of the Ice Age served as a landmark for Indigenous Peoples, the North-West Mounted Police, outlaws, and early settlers. Here you will have time to explore the butte and take in its astounding scenery.
After Castle Butte, you will head to the Big Beaver General Store, where you will experience true small-town hospitality. The store sells a little bit of everything and is a popular coffee stop for both visitors and residents. Souvenirs are also available for purchase. (Closed Sundays)
Once you have finished at the general store, you will continue into the heart of the Big Muddy Valley to Circle Y Ranch (bus companies must arrange visits with Tammy separately). Here, Tammy Burgess will share an incredible story, based on historical facts, about how the outlaws evaded the law, stole horses, and how some eventually met their demise.
After the ranch, you will travel to the Sam Kelly Outlaw Caves, where outlaws once hid in enlarged wolf dens that were expanded to shelter both themselves and their horses while evading the law.
